A ground-breaking ceremony was held in May of 2000. By August 29, 2002 (the gardens official opening) a fence surrounding the entire property and gazebo was built by the woodworking team from Arc, along with several other LACL staff who volunteered their time.
A sidewalk goes all around the grounds and flower beds and raised garden beds are filled with beautiful colours. Many people enjoy a walk through the garden, sitting in the gazebo or taking time for a relaxing swing.
The garden has been used for barbeques, parties, celebrations and staff meetings. This past July a wedding ceremony was held in the garden.
The garden is open to the public and available to rent for special occasions.
